Types of Commercial Roofing

Triton Exteriors offers a range of reliable and high-performance commercial roofing solutions designed to protect your property and extend its lifespan. Explore our commercial roofing types to find the right fit for your business needs.

TPO & PVC

Thermoplastic roof systems are lightweight systems that include TPO (thermoplastic polyolefin) and PVC (poly vinyl chloride). Both are highly reflective roof membranes that provide excellent weathering and are highly resistant to ultraviolet light, tears, punctures, and most chemicals. Thermoplastic roofs have outstanding seam strength and are well suited for second generation applications.

EPDM

EPDM (Ethyline Propolyne Diene Terpolymer) is a single-ply rubber roofing membrane that is resistant to a high degree of ozone, ultraviolet, weathering, and abrasion damage. Because of its tolerance to a wide array of weather conditions including wind and hail, and superb second generation application, EPDM is one of the most sustainable and environmental materials currently used in the industry.

Modified Bitumen

Modified bitumen is an asphalt-based roofing system reinforced with either polyester or fiberglass. With excellent resistance to foot traffic, punctures, and tears, modified bitumen systems are a blend of traditional and modern roofing technologies. Two different polymers APP (Atactic Polypropylene polymer) and SBS (Styrene Butadiene Styrene) are used to modify the elasticity and temperature flexibility of the membrane.

Built-Up Roof

Built-up roof (BUR) systems consist of multiple plies of felts, fabrics, or mats that are laminated together with bitumen, either asphalt or coal tar pitch. The application incorporates alternating layers of plies and bitumen and is finished with a gravel application, a mineral cap sheet, or a weather resistant coating. BUR is designed to meet a broad range of waterproofing applications and is highly resistant to punctures and weathering.

Metal Roof

Metal roofs are systems in which standing seams, R-panels, or corrugated metal panels are mechanically fastened to existing structure points. Metal roof provide architects, building designers, and owners with a variety of choices ranging from the type of metal to dozens of color options. Because of its excellent strength, durability, and fire resistance, metal roofs are the rising star of the energy-efficient and sustainable building movement.

SPRAY POLYURETHANE FOAM

Spray Polyurethane Foam, commonly referred to as SPF, is an insulating plastic that is sprayed on as a liquid that quickly expands to several times its original thickness creating a water tight roofing material. It has been used as a roofing system since the 1960’s, and is endeared by large businesses for its ability to save more than 30% annually on heating and cooling costs and effectively pay for itself in a few years! Because it is a continuous solid surface after application, it offers exceptional strength against high winds.

Types of Commercial siding

With a variety of styles and colors available, vinyl siding allows businesses to maintain a professional, polished look while keeping maintenance and energy costs low.

Steel

Steel siding is a highly durable and low-maintenance option ideal for commercial buildings. Made from galvanized or coated steel panels, it offers exceptional resistance to harsh weather, fire, pests, and impact damage. Its strength makes it perfect for large structures that require long-term protection with minimal upkeep. Available in a range of finishes and colors, steel siding also provides a sleek, professional appearance that enhances a property’s curb appeal while ensuring lasting performance.

LP SmartSide siding is an engineered wood product designed to deliver the beauty of traditional wood with the strength and durability of modern materials.
